I am a retired nurse, (after 22 years in the field of ER, OR and Infection Control) I love life to its fullest with as much PLAY TIME with the bully babies as I can get into each day. My babies all live in their home as part of my family. I Look forward to each step in the process of breeding out the bad genectic makeup of this wonderful and great breed of dog, the English Bull Dog. WHAT
I DO: This breed is now, and has been the most popular breed of dog in this century, with this however, there is a major shortage of puppies in supply. So, we have unscrupulous breeders, who lineage breed to get more and more babies...in other words "PUPPY MILLS".... that is not what I am about. Any of my babies that are born are offered to approved human parents ONLY.. If you seek to purchase a puppy, I need to talk/email with each potential human parent, this is a few simple questions with a big commitment from the prospective new mom, dad or family. After that, you wait for the baby you want, the first thing you need to decide is BOY or GIRL...there is good and bad in both dependent upon your pets you have now, your live style, yard area and accessibility for the baby to air conditioning/heat and promises to be made and kept by new parents.
I have 2 miniature's bulldogs (as I call them) which are actually a small Standard English Bulldog I achieved that by breeding the smaller framed puppies over the course of the last 4 years. I have various sizes of adult dogs ranging from 38 lbs to 65 lbs. The AKC does NOT recognize the different sizes in English Bulldogs, only that they are BULLDOGS and all of my babies are AKC registered. We have babies year round, so if the puppy coloring or gender that you want is not available at this time just call me, I can tell you approximately when the best chance would be for the type, genetic makeup and structure of puppy you want will be available , see "ADULT DOGS" link to see coloring choices of my breeding girls and boys.
WHY I DO WHAT I DO...... In my past, I have had, and my friends have had, Standard English Bull Dogs. In the 1970's I was a breeder of these dogs, but they kept having serious health issues and dying at early ages from health issues related to their breed. I did not know why until: One day while I surfed the internet I came upon this wonderful article about " The English Bull Dog" breed down protocol program which began 23 years ago by research students going to Vet school at the Kansas State University. ( That program no longer exists now.) However I continue to breed out bad health issues in my litters. So, as I found out more about this program, I thought...HOW WONDERFUL...Someone had finally decided to improve this wonderful breed of dog, the English Bull Dog. So, I looked at the approved breeders, looked at lots of babies, went to seminars, workshops and back to school to learn what and what NOT to do with genomic breeding, then....I started my herd...... ( haha ).... and here I am...living life at its very best....a mom of 12 English Bulldogs. MY SUCCESS STORY TO DATE: We have enhanced the breed by breeding in a bit taller stature, one that can carry the head and weight of the body, which will take the stress off of the heart. Which means a healthy puppy with fewer VET BILLS..... Standard English Bulldogs ( the ones that weigh in at over 75 lbs) live an average of 5-7 years with the weight they carry on their small body frame. With the proper matching of the male and female to enhance the body height and weight. We have successfully for 4 years; bred out some of the bad gene's. We continue working on skin allergies, " Baby Mange "( notorious in bulldog babies at 3-5 months old) but is easily controlled if a baby acquires it. This immune system disorder occurs because the English Bulldogs immune system does NOT fully develop until they are about a year old. I have had some good results in the allergies area, and that these problems are related to the dye in dog foods, bad breeding habits of bad breeder's, the immature immune system of the English Bulldog and the type of heartworm and flea prevention medicine's. Your vet will suggest a good heart
worm medicine for your baby. Most importantly, they must have their regular immunizations
on a timely basis. If you are looking for a baby, please call me, I will talk with you and tell you what life is REALLY like with this wonderful breed of dog. The babies are generally ready to go to their new
home when they are 8-10 weeks old; as soon as mom weans them and they are eating well by
themselves. I DO NOT SELL TO PUPPY BROKERS OR PET STORES...ONLY TO INDIVIDUALS....who want to be owned by their bulldogs' as I am.
